Pre-Assembly
- Factory Assembly, testing of dome and electronics, then disassembled for shipping.

Pre-Drilling
- Drilling of the fiberglass parts (where possible), does not include the pre-assembly.
- Does not affect the shipping schedule.

Color
- Special colors can be applied to the interior or exterior.

Packing and Shipping Information
- Packing and shipping charges are additional on all items.
- ROBO-DOME is shipped by motor freight in a heavy cardboard carton on a wooden pallet.
- For all other domes, we pack the dome and its accessories in a wooden crate to be shipped by motor freight. Packing charges vary according to the crate size, as shown below, and will be included on your invoice.
- Shipping charges may be collected or prepaid through us. Most customers prefer prepaid service. Motor freight charges are based on weight, distance, and freight classification.
- We can tell you estimated shipping costs if you let us know your location.

Crate and Receiving Information
- You may pick up your observatory at the fabricator’s plant, in which case there are no crating or shipping charges. We do have a $100 pick-up fee for labor, padding, rope, etc. Orders picked up in FL are subject to 6.5% Sales Tax.
- For shipments by motor freight within North America, all airfreight, crate sizes, and costs are as shown above.
- For ocean shipments, crates are built of heavier wood and are approximately 1” larger in all dimensions. Ocean crating charges are higher than shown above by approximately $100 since specially treated wood is required. Please contact us for further details on international shipping.
- A PD15 dome with four or more wall rings will require a second crate.
- If you order two domes of the same size (6’ and 10’ sizes only), we may be able to pack both domes in one crate at little or no additional crating charge.
- Electronics and other accessories shipped with the dome incur no additional packing/shipping charges.
